Washington DC

We're half way there. No driving today. We spent most of the day walking the DC area visiting the sites.

We spoke to the hotel shuttle driver this morning and he suggested we take the Metro train in to DC. So as we wait for the downtown shuttle, he decides to drop us off before he went on his regular route which was the airport. Real nice guy.

We bought 2 all day passes for the Blue line, $ 8.30/each. Not bad huh. First stop, Arlington Cemetery. Took the trolley tour of the Kennedy memorial, Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and the Arlington House. From there took the train to the Federal Triangle stop. This stop is walking distance to the White House, Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial and several of the Smithsonian museums.

Our plan tomorrow is visit a Safeway store, where Wilma's work sells fresh sushi then visit my uncle, Tito Bu in Baltimore. So we'll see how it goes.

To those old enough maybe you'll remember him. To those too young there's Google.
